What is it? Why did it happen? How is it a threat? Include: dates, times, descriptions, and how you learned about this information.
Give specific details about the location. What is the address? What is the name of the building? Describe the location: city park, landmark, street, back alley, hospital, government building.
Give specific details about who is involved. What is their name and address? What do they look like? What vehicles do they drive? Describe their behaviour. How are they involved? Include: emails and social media.
RCMP's privacy disclaimer
When you give a tip to the RCMP, they will collect a small amount of information. This information helps them with their investigations, criminal cases, and keeping Canada safe. The RCMP will keep and protect all the information you give them, and it will only be used for investigations and criminal cases.
The personal information collected is described in Personal Information PSU 913 – Disclosure to Investigative Bodies or Bank PSU 914 – Public Communications. Under the Privacy Act you have the right of access to, and correction of, your personal information. To exercise either of these rights, contact RCMP's ATIP Coordinator. If you are not satisfied with the RCMP's response to your privacy concern, you may wish to Contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
