Engagement on Personal Smart Devices to Understand Canadians’ Health
Statistics Canada wants to make it easier for Canadians to share their health information which is important to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and diseases.
The objective of this engagement is to:
Assess Canadian’s willingness to share personal health data, for example through smartwatches and fitness trackers,
Identify concerns about privacy and confidentiality, and
Gather ideas from Canadians on new ways to share directly measured health information with Statistics Canada and how they might prefer to do that.
