Kejimkujik Interpretation Programming Request Form 2025

Kejimkujik offers a selection of guided school programs to suit the interests and educational curriculum needs of all school grade levels. Guided school programs are available in September and October only.

Applications for fall of 2025 will open on August 15, 2025, and close on October 15, 2025. First come, first served.

The information you provide is collected under the authority of Section 8 of the Canada National Parks Act for the participation in guided school programs at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site. The information you provide will be used to organize a guided experience for your group.

The information may also be used for policy analysis, research and/or evaluation purposes. However, these additional uses and/or disclosures of your personal information will never result in an administrative decision being made about you.

Participation in guided school programs is voluntary. Refusal to provide personal information will prevent you from participating in the guided school programs at Kejimkujik.

Your personal information is administered in accordance with Section 8 of the Canada National Parks Act, the Privacy Act and other applicable laws. You have the right to the protection of, access to and correction of your personal information, which is described in the Parks Canada-specific Personal Information Bank National Volunteer Program PC PPU 081. Fees

There are admission fees and school guided program fees.

Admission fees

  • Admission fees are applicable for students 18 years of age and older
  • Free admission for teachers
  • Free admission for students 17 years of age and younger
  • Free admission for chaperones based on one chaperone for five kids (1:5)

Guided school program fees

School program fees are applicable for all students. School programs are free for teachers and chaperones.

  • Nature Hike/Guided Activities: $3.75 per student
  • Encampment Program: $3.75 per student
  • Petroglyph Tour: $5.75 per student

Program information

Guided Nature Hike/Activity for Groups

Join a natural history interpreter for a guided hike/activity that focuses on plants, trees, birds, mammals, insects, and more! This activity can be customized to your group interests and needs.

Capacity: groups up to 25 people
Length: 45 minutes to 1 hour
Location: Various trails

Encampment Program: Wejisqalia’ti’k

Wejisqalia’ti’k means "We grew up from the earth.” For the Mi’kmaq, this word incorporates thousands of years living in and respecting their homeland, Mi’kma’ki.

Cultivate your connection with the teachings that nature offers while a cultural interpreter shares their unique skills and knowledge of this land.

Capacity: groups up to 60 people
Length: 45 minutes to 1 hour
Location: Mi’kmaw Encampment at Merrymakedge P2

This guided walk through time will teach students about Mi’kmaw culture by experiencing the petroglyphs on the shores of Kejimkujik Lake. Note: tour will be cancelled during rain and high water levels.

Capacity: limit of 20 people/tour — no exceptions
Length: 60 to 90 minutes
Location: Merrymakedge P1
