Why are we conducting this survey?

This survey is part of Health Canada’s ongoing national human biomonitoring program that monitors environmental chemical levels in the Canadian population. Your responses will help us identify human biomonitoring data needs, including environmental chemicals of interest for future monitoring in people living in Canada in 2027 and beyond. This survey will remain open until January 30, 2026.

The Biomonitoring Content Summary for the Canadian Health Measures Survey web page provides information on chemicals measured as part of Health Canada’s national human biomonitoring program from 2007 to 2027. 

Privacy Notice 

The personal information you provide to Health Canada will be collected by the Environmental Health Science and Research Bureau under the Department of Health Act and handled in accordance with the Privacy Act

Why are we collecting your personal information?

You are not required to provide your personal information to complete this survey. If you choose to provide your contact information, we will only use it to follow up with you if we need more information about your responses and to send you a copy of the report containing summary information of all survey responses.  

Will we use or share your personal information for any other reason?

We will prepare a report containing summary information of all survey responses. We may share this report with our stakeholders and publish it online. We will not include your personal information or the personal information of other survey respondents in any reports or publications.

What are your rights?

You have the right to access your personal information and to request a correction to your personal information. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you feel your personal information has been handled improperly.
