Purpose

The External Advisory Committee on Anti-Black Racism (EACABR) will serve a critical role in addressing combatting anti-Black racism within the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and the Department of National Defence (DND) by offering independent advice, oversight, and guidance to the Minister of National Defence and Defence Team senior leadership on issues related to systemic anti-Black racism, accountability, and culture change.

The personal information you provide to DND/CAF is governed in accordance with the Privacy Act. We only collect the personal information we need to administer the External Advisory Committee on Anti-Black Racism (EACABR), which is authorized in accordance with the National Defence Act, Section 4. The purpose for the collection is to gather personal information through applications, resumes, interviews to evaluate skills and qualifications against the committee requirements. Information provided will only be used for mandated activities in this regard. In limited and specific situations, your personal information may be disclosed without your consent in accordance with subsection 8(2) of the Privacy Act. Failure to provide the requested information will prevent the processing of your application.
