ACOA's Accessibility Feedback Form
The Accessible Canada Act, as well as ACOA's Accessibility Action Plan, clearly indicate that the Agency has a duty to develop and implement a system to receive, and respond to, feedback from employees and clients on any issues relating to accessibility, or a lack thereof. As such, the Agency has developed this form, which any ACOA employee or client can use to report any barrier(s) to accessibility and/or suggestions for improvement. All information reported will be kept confidential.
We will use the feedback we receive to produce a “What we’ve heard” report and to inform our next Progress Report (2025) as well as our next Accessibility Action Plan (2026).
The collection of personal information in the Accessibility Feedback Form is authorized by section 7(1)(a) and Section 70 of the Accessible Canada Act. This personal information is collected by ACOA to comply with the Accessible Canada Act by creating a mechanism to collect feedback, responding to the individual, acknowledging that their feedback has been collected and indicating how it was handled.
Collection and use of this personal information is in accordance with the Privacy Act. The mechanism is used to collect feedback internally and externally on our Accessibility Plan, progress reports, as well as accessibility and barriers to accessibility within the work carried out at ACOA.
The personal information collected is described in Personal Information Bank PSU 938 - Outreach Activities. Under the Privacy Act you have the right of access to, and correction of, your personal information. To exercise either of these rights, contact ACOA’s ATIP Coordinator at atip-aiprpr@acoa-apeca.gc.ca. If you are not satisfied with ACOA's response to your privacy concern, you may wish to contact the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
