Marmot Pit Clean Fill Disposal Permit Application
Parks Canada Agency (PCA) has designated Marmot Pit as a site for commercial clean fill disposal for third party contractors operating within Jasper National Park.
Contractors must follow a five step process before disposing of clean fill at Marmot Pit.
Marmot Pit only accepts clean fill suitable for natural restoration. Properties that had debris removal completed might still contain unexpected or minor inert debris. Any debris or material that does not meet the requirements in this permit must be screened out and disposed of outside the park. Any loads containing materials other than clean fill will be refused. Any dumped loads containing unacceptable material will be identified to the responsible contractor, any permits held will be revoked, and any costs incurred to remove the material will be invoiced to the permit holder.
Information collected in this process is used by Parks Canada for coordinating clean fill disposal at Marmot Pit in Jasper National Park.
