Call for Proposals 2026–27 — Funding proposals for modern treaty and self-government implementation policy and awareness initiatives
This application form is for the 2026-2027 fiscal year (April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027) Call for Proposals for modern treaty and self-government policy and awareness initiatives. The 2026-2027 Call for Proposals will be open from April 24, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. PDT to June 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
Please ensure that you have fully reviewed the interim guidance prior to filling out the application form. To supplement the interim guidance, Frequently Asked Questions are available on the next page of this package.
If you are submitting a chaptered proposal, be aware that you must complete separate forms for the evaluation criteria and budget for each chapter. The application package will guide you through this process, so make sure you answer all the questions precisely.
In addition, multi-year proposals may only be considered for initiatives that received funding through this funding stream in the fiscal year immediately prior (in this case, in fiscal year 2025-2026). If this is applicable to you, you must provide proof and validate this under the “Funding Details” portion of this application package.
Important Note: Once you have started the online application package, you can save your written progress and return to complete it at a later time. This can be done using the "Save to device" function when you are ready to pause your work (which will download an in-progress file of your application to your device), and then the "Load your answers" function (which will re-fill your answers from your last save) when you are ready to resume. However, uploaded files for supporting documentation are not saved via this method, so please ensure that they are properly uploaded prior to final submission. Having said that, we encourage all applicants to always keep an external working copy of their application package as they complete it, as well as save a final version externally.
Your application is not submitted and received until you have finished the all of the required forms and questions in full and have reached the confirmation page.
