First-time Home Buyers' GST/HST rebate information sessions for professionals and organizations that support first‑time home buyers

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is pleased to invite you to the upcoming virtual information sessions on the First-time Home Buyers' GST/HST rebate.

These sessions are designed for professionals and organizations that support prospective home buyers, as well as for builders and developers. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the rebate and be better equipped to share accurate information with clients and communities.

Information Session for Housing Professionals Supporting First‑time Home Buyers

This session is intended for professionals who guide or represent first‑time home buyers, including accountants, lawyers, notaries, realtors, financial advisors, associations, and community groups. We will review eligibility requirements and certain rules and restrictions for homes purchased from a builder and owner-built homes. We will also review how first-time home buyers can apply for the rebate, either through the builder or directly with the CRA.
